Managed by Cushman & Wakefield, the Cantera Meadows Office Center is an eight-story, 203,842 Sq.Ft. Class-A office building located in Warrenville, IL.

Key Challenges  

The building’s corner monument sign and landscape were neglected for a period of time and it lacked the curb appeal that is expected from Class-A properties. Cushman & Wakefield addressed this issue with urgency to mitigate tenant complaints and to not turn off any new prospective tenants from going elsewhere.

We took detailed inventory of Cantera Meadow’s neighboring constructs and landscapes, paying close attention to the environment in front of us, and all around us.

Having a well established perspective of the area, we developed a comprehensive landscape design, utilizing all the natural grasses from the front to the back of the monument, where the declining ornamental trees were. We added spring interest by using catmint and spring-blooming lilac bushes; created summer color with daylilies, ornamental grasses and flowering weigela shrubs; while providing winter interest with the grass seed heads and boxwood evergreens.

This approach enabled our team to create a corner monument design that could draw attentions throughout all four seasons! We increased interest at the corner monument sign without increasing the annual landscape maintenance budget. Most importantly, our client feels confident their corner display out-shines its competitors all year long!
